An evergreen large shrub or small tree well worth growing for its beautiful foliage alone. Its large, dark green leaves having a distinctive copper-coloured underside which makes a spectacular display when blown in the wind.
Very showy, long, white scented flower spikes borne in profusion from an early age in late spring to summer. Plant in well drained and compost enriched soil. Prune for shape and feed with a low phosphorous fertiliser after flowering.
keep well watered in dry weather, less at other times. A great specimen tree for suburban gardens and useful windbreak or screen. Foliage is ideal for flowerin arranging.
